Torah of the Unleavend - Exodus 13:9



The third time we find the word Torah in Exodus 13, 9.

And let it be to thee a sign in thy hand,
and a mark of remembrance between thy eyes,
that the law of the Lord may be in thy mouth.

The feast of unleavened bread is described here. No leaven shall be eaten for seven days, as long as the feast lasts. Nor shall leaven be seen in all the land.
After a person has understood the Torah Elohim, which is the Torah of the Messiah, the law of conversion and rebirth, a new life begins. This life lasts seven days according to God's measure of time, indicating that the seven days last a whole lifetime.
In the time of these seven days, leaven should not even enter into our heart and our house. Nor shall leaven be found in all the land, the land of the people of God. In all our areas of life, such as family, school, work, our neighborhood, only pure things should be our food.

The seven days also point to the time of the church. During the seven days, from Ephesus to Laodicea, no leaven is to be found. But already in the beginning a woman hid some leaven in the unleavened dough, until one day the whole mass was completely leavened. The Lord Himself tells this already in Matthew 13, in the fourth parable. Jesus says about this from verse 33: "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid under three measures of flour until it was completely leavened. Then the Lord interrupts his parables. As the fourth parable, it points to the fourth epistle, the letter to Thyatira. Prophetically interpreted it tells us about this church: Thyatira everything in you is pervaded with the wicked. And so the Lord had to start something new at the end of the 15th century. And the Lord follows on from this in Matthew 13:44. But now he no longer speaks to the crowds, but tells the other parables only to his disciples. He speaks of three mysteries that could not yet be seen.

From the treasure in the field: he points to Israel in the flesh, the second-born son.
From the pearl (in the heart of the sea): it grows in the water and is made perfect by God, his assembly; this is the first-born son and
from the net: this speaks of the end of a period and simultaneously to the beginning of a new cycle; a change takes place. The staff changes from the first to the second born.

In the time of Martin Luther, God spoke to a small group of people, not to the masses, but only to those who sincerely and honestly sought God. These include Christians who had already sought God long before the great liberation from the captivity of Rome was proclaimed. Thus God created a new and fresh dough that is unleavened.


The Reformation - the milestone of our epoch

With Sardis, God begins something new in the Occident. Many are still sleeping in the church, but soon they will be awakened. Sardis means the Red One. The red indicates much need and death, suffering far and wide. Germany sinks into blood and tears through the mighty Thyatira in the 30-year war and as a result the plague rages in many cities. Nevertheless, the tribulation did not prevent the Good News from winning. Even though only a few had awakened at the beginning, that small group of reformers was sufficient to initiate a worldwide movement that Rome could not prevent. They remained faithful in service. As a result of their continued proclamation of the Gospel, the Good News reached the ends of the earth. Millions of people heard the good news that only faith in Jesus saves and frees confidence in his work on Golgotha.  We are not bought from the threat of hell with money, but with the blood of Jesus. The reformers trusted that Jesus alone had redeemed them from hell forever; by the way, almost by themselves, they were delivered from the bondage of Rome.
He who believes in Jesus has eternal life. It is not said that he gets eternal life, but it is said that he has eternal life. Such a Christian does not come to judgment.

Everything that calls itself Roman Catholic we have to add to the leaven. Such must never take part in the Lord's Supper, because they must be counted among those who serve the earthly hut, as the Apostle Paul expresses in his Epistle to the Hebrews.

To serve the tabernacle means, among other things, that one must work for righteousness for oneself and is urged by the priests of Rome to do the same. What a mistake. Salvation comes only from faith and not from our works. There is no righteousness that we can bring about. They are lies when they say: we must do this and that to escape hell. Rome's lie diminishes and blasphemes the work of Jesus. God had the earthly temple destroyed precisely because it is not used for the righteousness that is before God. Sacrifices for sins are no longer necessary. Anyone who reintroduces animal sacrifices or continues to offer mass offerings or makes any other sacrifice in order to please God has distanced himself from the message of the New Testament. All sacrifices of this kind are idol sacrifices. Whether they are offered in Rome or in Jerusalem, whether in Washington or Rio, in Africa or Asia, all these sacrifices are an abomination to the Lord.
 
Paul quotes from Psalm 53, which says, "This is no one who does good. In the Epistle to the Romans it reads like this: All have departed, all have become unfit; there is none who does good, there is none. The two verses speak plainly. In the eyes of God no man does good. All our religious efforts are useless and of no value to God; therefore such sacrifices are not good and unfit. They are only suitable for the garbage dump.

Whether Jew or Greek, all must believe in order to be saved. But he who does not believe is already judged, writes the apostle John in his Gospel, chapter three. Let us beware of the leaven of the wilful sacrifices. There is only one pure sacrifice that we can bring to God, and that is the Lamb that volunteered 2000 years ago. Therefore to all: away with the leaven of one's own work, which wants to buy heaven for itself.


Sweep out the leaven, but how?

Well, how is it possible for us to keep any leaven outside?

From which the heart is full, the mouth overflows, isn't it?

We all talk about things that we deal with. The most important tools are our hands, our feet, our eyes and finally our mouth. Let us look at our tools in detail:

1. the hand: as an instrument of our actions, our actions should be bound to the Word of God; to express it figuratively: to work with one hand and to hold the Word of God in the other hand.

2 If we walk on a narrow path, our feet carry us to our Lord. The legs carry our torso and support the body. Upwards they react to our physical position. In this way we keep the whole body in balance. In service they bring us closer to our God, but not only to him but also to our neighbor. Both God and our neighbor should be the object of our love. And so that we do not limp and carry out our weightings one-sidedly, serving God and our neighbor equally, we need a mirror that shows us whether we are still standing and walking straight and upright. The Manna from heaven, the Word of God, serves us for this purpose. When we read and study the Bible, the Lord shows us whether we are still in balance.

Between the eyes, that is what we see and remember. Between the eyes, therefore, where the memory is, we should remember again and again what the Word of God tells us and also look at things from God's perspective; for this we keep one eye on the Old Testament and the other on the New Testament. Both eyes then compose a spatial image in our brain. In this way we see much more of our Lord and get to know Him better. If we look at him from all sides, then we will discover many more secrets about him. We also learn how Jesus sees us human beings. If we take his perspective, we can love our neighbor as God loves him and at the same time love him as ourselves.

4 The mouth: it cannot help but rave about the one who loves us. From the works of his creation to the miracles he has done in our personal lives. The source of all this is the Torah of the Messiah.  


The third law, the law of the unleavened, was also given before the law of Sinai, for it will not be communicated to the people until a few chapters later. In the following section we will look at other things which are called leaven in the New Testament and which will also lead our lives in a different and wrong direction if we do not regularly sweep the leaven out of the house and our lives.  

Sourdough in the New Testament


1 The teaching of the Pharisees and scribes:

Hypocrisy and the teaching of demons. The hypocrisy, literally acting, of the scholars refers to their self-righteousness presented for display and the associated separation from the ordinary people. Today these include the priesthood of Catholics, the clergy of Protestants and the teaching brothers of the Exclusive Brotherhoods. Again and again the enemy attacks the general royal and priesthood in a hidden way.


2. The poisonous weeds of the enemy

The green that looks like wheat in the beginning, but is not wheat. We should not pluck the weeds. And why not? Let us hear what the LORD says about the tares: but the tares are the sons of the wicked. We are not to resist evil, but to love, and he who loves plucks nothing. Only the wicked, Malachi the prophet teaches us, pluck out the good plants and let them wither. Let us keep what the LORD says: let everything grow to maturity. At the time of the harvest he will command the cutters to first gather the grass, bundle it and give it to the fire. Let's take a closer look at the evil one. As has already happened above, it is called intoxication grass. Even on closer examination it cannot be determined whether it is real wheat or not. We do not recognize any difference between the sons of the kingdom or the sons of the evil one until the black grain is formed. It appears shortly before the harvest and is then most poisonous. Its poison first causes an increasing inertia, then one falls into deep sleep and in the end it leads to death. This should also have made it clear that a "questioning or screening" of Christians who want to take part in the exclusive Lord's Supper is not very helpful. So if we love our neighbor ourselves, he might let himself be pulled out of the fire at the last minute.


3. Sour Day of the Woman

With a little sin she hid it under the dough, so that the whole mass was completely acidified with sin. Oh people, it always starts small and inconspicuous: there an inaccuracy, there the omission of facts, here a hidden this, there a hidden that, and soon one has learned the role of a well-off Christian.

If we had lived in the first century and would have gone to Athens and asked the people on the street: Where are the hypocrites here? They would have answered us: In the theatres. In the theatres?

Yes, actors are hypocrites and as such they pretend a fictional world to us and deceive their contemporaries with it. Today one hears unasked: The actors? sitting in churches, synagogues and other religious institutions. Has the leaven of love of money spoiled everything? It looks like that. Paul writes to Timothy: "The love of money is a root of all evil." We recognize it most clearly in Judas, who betrayed the Lord because of his greed and ended up committing suicide. The Roman Church, too, has accumulated an invaluable fortune out of greed over the centuries. For this reason, as Paul writes, it too has strayed from faith and pierced itself with much pain. Rome is becoming more and more perforated. At the end of countless piercings, nothing remains but air.

Let us learn from Paul. He had learned to have abundance as well as to suffer want. Let us give God the chance to prove himself in our lives as a faithful father who personally stands up for them in all matters of his children. Not an easy exercise for us, but a very valuable one because we get to know our Lord better and better in this way.



4. The special Herod sourdough

These are views or forms of knowledge or views of a school of thought, which developed from mixtures of Jewish teachings, ideas and conceptions, with those of the Edomites, that is Esau. This man stands symbolically for the earthly that is symbilized by the red, the lenses, the blood. Edom is constantly hunting. And what do they hunt? Humans! People who steal his show, run into him, oppose his ambitions and could become an obstacle. Did he hunt them down something outside, so "he hurried for innocent blood, and shed it too"? These are, now ironically, the brave heroes; exhausted, they come home. The one time with and the other time without prey.

Modern hunting weapons are outrageously cheap: harassment and character assassination, slander and intrigues, or even just loveless looking away. Already the apostle Paul writes warningly to his "real child". Beware of the evil blacksmith Alexander, who has already done many unpleasant things to me. Here we learn from Paul that we should not pluck out the tares, but we should already warn.

Herod, the name appears 41 times in the NT. 12 x in Matthew, 8 x in Mark, 12x in Luke and 9x in Acts of the Apostles. The female form of Herodias occurs 6 times, 2 times in Matthew, 3 times in Mark and 1 time in Luke. His followers, the Herodians, appear three times, 1 x in Matthew and 2 x in Mark. In total, the Herodian group appears 50 times. They represent the foolish ones who are only look after earthly things.

Power and splendour and with money before the world, so they boast. Their king, the former from this group (Matthew 2), killed many innocent children. Until today, their mother's crying was heard: Rahel weeps over her children because they are no more. Just as the first Herodian was a murderer, so will thier last. The first-born after the flesh have always sought the blood of the righteous. Just as their progenitor Esau stalked the righteous Jacob, so did the last descendant. Edom, the red one. Edom and red also means death. The prophet Obadiah tells us of the complete destruction of these spiritually dead. The army camps of Israel, led by Judah and Ephraim, will burn Edom's stubble with fire and hay and straw will burn quickly. In both camps there was and still is the Herodian sect. Both among the Jews and among Ephraim.  They are easy to recognize, but one does not dare to name them as sectarians. They are too influential and too powerful. But in the end they are handed over to the fire.


5. Leaven of fornication - 1 Corinthians 5

The Corinthians should have swept out the old leaven, but they didn't and so it hollows out the past. Old leaven are things from our old times. We should completely remove it from our lives and clean it thoroughly. This takes time, a lot of time, something like this cannot be done overnight. Our whole life must be swept after the dirt, because the dirt itself penetrates through many cracks over and over again with us. The dust threatens to settle down with us. Each of us knows his own old leaven. Do not brood over it, but sweep daily and dispose of it immediately.



6. The leaven of malice

These are all kinds of badness that surprise us at this inopportune time. To name a few spoilages, here is a small list:
immorality, malice, worthless or unworthy things, intentional evil, conspiracies and many, many and many other sins. These are things that represent the reversal of the second commandment: And you shall love your neighbor, we remember that is the Rea, as you love yourself. He who acts immoral sins against himself and against others. Evil grows more and more and increases in deliberate action against oneself and against others. In the end, one tries to remove the other by means of conspiracies, but to put oneself in the right light. The leaven of malice slowly creeps into the dough. In the beginning it's just a little teasing, but in the end there are bad speeches, intrigues, conspiracies and murder.

7. Leaven of the Jewish doctrine - Galatians 5, 9

These are teachings that do not coincide with the Torah and the New Testament. In short, it is another gospel. Through another Spirit, another Christ is preached. This culminates in self-righteousness and self-deification. The Spirit has its origin in esotericism and the Kabbalah. The Kabbalistic spirit has permeated all Jewish teaching; the same applies to Catholicism. This can easily be seen today from the Bible.
Only they, the esothericists and Kabbalists, they themselves do not recognize it. They do not see that their teaching keeps them in captivity and leaves them in ignorance. If God does not free them, if they are not delivered from the evil spirits, they will not really become free. Nowhere do we find so many allusions to Jewish occultism as in the Gospel of Matthew. Let us come to their aid. If we preach the Good News in the power of the Holy Spirit, the wall of many Jerichos will fall, giving them the breakthrough to freedom. With God's word, it is still the sharpest weapon we have as Christians, we will be victorious.


Unleavened in the New Testament:


  1. Clarity;
  2. Purity;
  3. (Constantly) judge and condemn sin and judge and put things in order by day (in the sunlight), that is, in the light of the Word of God;
  4. To speak the truth: as not hiding and free from hidden lies.


Paul writes to the Galatians: "For all the law is fulfilled in one word." What word might that be? And then shall all the law be fulfilled in this word? Stop and marvel, tear open your ears and eyes, for if we read to the end the verse quoted earlier, many a man will frown in amazement. Paul continues and writes: "You shall love your neighbour as yourself". That's already the hammer, isn't it? In this one word the whole law is fulfilled. God's Word is so simple, there is nothing lacking in clarity. But read a thousand times, heard a thousand times and nothing happens to quote the Klaus Lage Band in a slightly changed form.
At best we shake hands and wish you a good day afterwards. But the one we greeted, we leave with our stereotypical phrases. To love one's neighbor, like ourselves, looks different. And how? That is also quite simple. Everything I do for myself, I should also do for the Rea, my neighbour. At the latest here it becomes obvious how selfish we are by nature.  

But where do we find people who love others as much as themselves? We have not found any yet. Isn't that the greatest evidence of incapacity that Christians give to the world? It is true that our social system is shaped by the ego-trip. The whole thing is beautified with the slogan Self-realization. The result is that one lives one's own thing, one more, the other less. If we should ever discover a neighbour, then we have looked for him at best in our own circle of friends. But if we look at the terms Rea - neighbour - and Ra - evil - again, we should realize at the latest that none of us loves our neighbour as much as we love ourselves.

So one thing should be made clear: None of us has fulfilled the law, as Paul says in Galatians 5:14. It is difficult to live according to this law because we are egoists, but we also have a shining example in it that wants to help us at the same time: "Learn from me", says the Lord; and when he says learn, then this is an instruction.

Jesus wants us to learn everything from Him in every way. For this we need an understanding of his words and deeds, both with the head and with the heart. Our brilliant example continues: "For I am gentle and humble of heart." Jesus exemplifies to us his loving and gentle behavior toward his neighbor, be it spiritual, material or even on the level of feelings. Those of us who have already begun the training, who are already practicing it, may have already experienced what peace comes into their own souls. If we want to learn from our Lord, then we have to let ourselves be put in the same yoke, because without him it does not work. One thing is for sure: Jesus always walks next to us, the Lord on the right side and we on the left. This is a beautiful picture, isn't it?


In summary we can say: Whoever loves his neighbor as himself, no leaven will last long with him, because he daily removes the dirt from his house and from his life almost silently.
